ABOUT THE ARTIST Annie Adams was born in Oregon and spent most of her childhood growing up at Madeira Beach on the Pinellas coast. She got her love of the water from her father where her most precious memories were of them exploring much of the stunning Gulf coast! From early on she was always drawing, weaving, sculpting, or creating something colorful. In the late 90’s she found her true love of Citrus County and got her real estate license in 2000. One day, she was asked to help with a charitable fundraiser for local kids to have some fun at a summer picnic. Her job was face painting. How difficult could it be? After one small kit of very bad paint, two scruffy paintbrushes, and 85 beautiful laughing children, Annie's world flipped upside down! Now, 18 years later, and literally thousands of sparkly faces, she is honored to be included in a project that has been tremendous fun! And for an extremely good cause. Annie wants very much for our waters to be as vivid and clear as she remembers as a small child. This community is the best! Annie ABOUT THE OWNER Shipyard Dog is a family owned and operated small business specializing in screen printing, embroidery and laser engraving. ABOUT THE ARTIST Jennifer Rogers was born and raised in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin on Okauchee Lake. Her mother is an artist and was actually my grade school art teacher. My grandfather was also an artist and a graphic designer during his career. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After graduating college, I took on some great jobs first as a store-front display merchandiser, then as a perspective artist, drawing the blueprints of kitchens into reality before computers did this for you. I also worked for numerous newspaper companies as an ad layout designer. After moving to Florida and living on a boat for many years she found what she really loved to do which was painting the anchorages she stayed in and the fishing spots she would go to. She would collect found objects, shells, driftwood, and fallen palm boots and create all kinds of “Florida” folk art for sale or trade from her boat. Then, I helped built a boat and was introduced to wood and power tools, and this brought about a new style and direction in my artwork. She is now a resident of Citrus County and has a home studio and she is enjoying the new direction her art is taking. She enjoys acrylics and paints anything from washed ashore horseshoe crabs, skulls, palm boots, thrift store finds, furniture, mannequins, and birdbaths. The Coastal Art Gallery in Crystal River Florida has all her artwork on display and for sale. ABOUT THE ARTIST Nena Osorio was born in Denver Colorado in 1982 and moved around quite a bit as a child. She came to use art as a means of expression at a very young age. This love of art and skill has grown over the years. As an adult having lived primarily in New York City, moving to Citrus County in 2013 was a very big change. After having visited several times over the years and growing a love for the area and it’s beautiful nature, she, her fiancé and their 3 children decided to make it their home. Trying many mediums and techniques over the years she is eclectic in her craft and works with anything from acrylics to watercolors, textiles and more.
